THE CALIFORNIA KID: "Pilot"

Dear potential (hopefully more than three) readers,

I created this thing back in 2011, towards the end of summer, hoping to chronicle my first few months living in Los Angeles after a move across the country from New York. Me, along with plenty of other kids from my graduating college class, all moved out seeking fame and fortune in the entertainment industry. Those initial months mustn't have been too exciting because this URL has been collecting dust ever since.

To sum up the almost two years in between now and then: I did a lot of lounging around, watched a lot of mind-numbing TV, spent many hours tooling around on the internet and finally something clicked in the job market and my schedule changed a bit. Now, I have a busy job that I really like in an industry that I love. (That's probably all that will be said about personal stuff because no one needs to pretend to care about THAT.)

Back to the point, I kind of forgot about this blogs existence up until recently, which then got me thinking what I should do with it. Delete it? Forget about it? The first sounded too harsh and the second sounded lazy so I figured it might be a good spot for me to jot down some of my thoughts (critical and observational) on the latest TV shows, movies, and entertainment items that I've been digging (or not digging) lately.

I can't make any promises on the amount of content I'll generate but I hope to have at least one blog a week and maybe sometimes more. I've always loved to dissect TV and movies so I figured why not use a medium that will allow me more than 140 characters to express my opinion.

Thanks for coming along for the ride,
The Cali' Kid

P.S.: I'll always be tweeting out a new blog post when it publishes.
